Overview
Our management and implementiton team is very diverse and with over fifty years of combined experience, we have been invovled in the evolution of the media industry over several decades as media practioners and managers. We have functioned in key roles in the Caribbean region and have pioneered in many spaces as we conitnuously focus on capacity development, sustainability and viabilty. Members of our team have advocated on issues of press freedom, freedom of information and more. Our media experience is interwoven with our project and events management experience which allows us to better serve our communities.
We specialize in Journalism training and associated areas of interest. Our rea of specialty is training in Investigative Reporting techniques.
We have conducted over 200 workshops throughout the Pan Caribbean region
More than 350 journalists are considered members of our Alumni
Small newsrooms and independent journalists often have limited resources, MIC supports their work by assisting with told and resources. These range from software to legal reviews and some administrative aspects.
Practical experience of the knowledge and techniques we have shared is important to us. We routinely award small grants to journalists and assign a mentor to the recipients or news teams.
Our mentors have collectively contributed over 2,000 hours of mentorship over the last four years.
With a strong leadership team, we have led and implemented projects for entities such as Internews, PCI Media, Open Society Foundations, UNESCO and others.
Our work has also extended beyond our region to assist other entities who require the foundation and institutional knowledge to chart their own course.

Disinformation in the Caribbean – An Overview. A project by Public Media Alliance (PMA) led by MIC and the Association of Caribbean Media Workers.
We are able to source experts and researchers and manage regional projects.
We believe that multimedia is important as we connect with the public on different platforms.
